Six Mindful Weeks is a chance to create mindful living to reduce stress with breathwork, encourage wellness through movement, and get helpful, realistic tips on eating better on a budget.
The holiday season can oftentimes leave us with a few unwanted pounds. While yoga is not about physical appearance, it is about living the healthiest possible life. Many of us are already on the top end of our scales...with life as it has been in recent days. Let's turn this around!
Our program aims to:
Reduce stress and the hormones that initiate extra pounds and high cholesterol;
Develop our ability to focus with meditation techniques;
Create a Sangha (community) of support as we move through the holiday season; and
Introduce new ways to eat healthy to include easy-to-follow recipes, cooking with fun small appliances, and food preparation.
Michelle Rae Sobi has been in the wellness profession since she was seventeen. Her experience spans across fitness, nutrition, and mindful living. She holds certificates with Precision Nutrition, Yoga Alliance, and is a current student of Berekely on the cusp of graduating in Digital Arts. She aspires to bring her wellness experience to the online platform through photography and visual storytelling. Her love of Ayurveda and vast experience with it will be the guiding light of this program. Ayurveda is a sister science to yoga and looks at the individual for a wellness plan!
*We follow local guidelines as they are presented to us. Please wear a mask to your yoga mat while at the studio, and stay home if you are not feeling well. All are welcome in our classes at our community center in South Naperville, as well as our global community online!
