The Prenatal 85-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at Edge Yoga School is a comprehensive, trauma-informed hybrid program designed to prepare yoga teachers to safely and confidently support students through pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period.

The grace period is intended for completing outstanding coursework, assignments, reflections, and practicum submissions.

Practicum Requirements

 

The practicum is a required component of the Prenatal 85-Hour Yoga Teacher Training.

 

All practicum requirements may be completed through video submission.

 

Observation Practicum

 

Students are required to complete ten prenatal yoga class observations.

 

Observations are completed by viewing recorded prenatal classes provided or approved within the training.

 

For each observed class, students submit a written review reflecting on sequencing, safety, language, and prenatal considerations.

Practice Teaching Practicum

 

Students are required to teach ten prenatal yoga classes.

 

Each class must be recorded and submitted as video.

 

Recorded classes are reviewed to assess:

 

• Safety and appropriateness for pregnancy

• Trimester-specific modifications

• Sequencing and pacing

• Cueing and communication

• Professional teaching presence

 

Lab participation may support teaching readiness but does not replace required video submissions.

Tuition includes forty Lab passes, which may be used for eligible Labs during the training window.

 

Labs may include:

 

• Practice teaching and observation

Certification and Registration

 

Upon successful completion of all program requirements, Edge Yoga School issues a Prenatal 85-Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate.

 

Graduates may apply to register with Yoga Alliance as a Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher, provided all prerequisites and registration steps are completed.
