Right to Left or Left to Right? You decide!

Nothing says yoga more than the sensation of a twist.
Ground one hand to the earth, tuck the elbow inside the knee (or thigh) and decide if you would like the leg to be extended or bent. This is your practice, so feel free to bend elbows and knees to make it your own.
TIP: Be sure to lengthen the spine prior to going into a twist.
Some folks say to twist right to left, as that follows the path of digestion. Another viewpoint is that a practitioner can benefit from the twist based on where any blockages are.
Contraindications: unhappy discs.
