 Event Description: Nutrition plays a vital role and not one size fits all. Here we break down some fundamentals of nutrition and how to plan and create balanced meals to maintain energy.

Presenter: Kara Flowers, Fitness and Health Coach

Presenter Bio:

Kara Flowers is a fitness professional with over 15 years in the health and wellness industry. No stranger to “healthy living” Kara began her fitness career competing and eventually winning 1st Place and Overall in The Arnold Amateur Classic Figure Competition.

After receiving her Master’s Degree in Exercise Science with a concentration in Corporate Health and Wellness, Kara’s career has included managing corporate fitness facilities with membership ranging from 400 to 800 people. Most recently she oversaw the opening of a 26,000 sq. ft. corporate fitness facility. Her ultimate goal is to make a “healthy living” lifestyle available to all companies regardless of size.

Kara keeps up with industry standards and maintains relationships with the local wellness professionals through her involvement in The Atlanta Wellness Professionals (AWP) Organization and Women in Fitness Association (WIFA). Additionally, she regularly attends workshops for continuing education to stay abreast of advancements in the field.

Kara still loves to interact and have a direct impact on people’s lives so she continues to teach healthy lifestyle behaviors and fitness classes. A firm believer in good health Kara finds joy in helping clients reach their health and fitness goals through exercise and

proper nutrition. She not only teaches these health practices, but she also lives them...everyday.
