EDGE YOGA SCHOOL GRADUATE TO SOBIS EDGE PMO
Are you an Edge Yoga School Alum that took our 300-hour yoga teacher training? Did you know your manual was a series of workshops, and within those workshops, we worked on Projects?
If your career has since changed from "I want to share my yoga practice and become a Yoga Teacher" to "the world is changing so rapidly, and I don't know what my career is going to be as the months flip past, come see me.
I've been working on solving this problem for Edge Alum, and have decided to open the doors to Experienced Yoga Teachers holding the E-RYT 500 with Yoga Alliance.

What We Do and How We Do It
SOBIS EDGE is a supportive Project Management Office serving yoga teachers, wellness professionals, and businesses developing or expanding yoga and wellness-related programs, services, and initiatives.
Our work combines project management education, mentorship, professional development, project experience, and project support. The PMO operates through a hybrid model that includes on-demand education, live online learning, small-group sessions, individual mentoring, and project-based opportunities.

Developing Project Professionals
SOBIS EDGE provides a project management course through Substack, supported by interactive small-group sessions and individual mentoring scheduled throughout the year. The program is intended to help participants develop practical project-management knowledge while preparing for an appropriate Project Management Institute certification pathway.
Participants who are newer to project management may pursue the CAPM® certification, while professionals who already meet PMI's experience requirements may pursue the PMP® certification.
The current PMBOK® Guide is included as required companion reading so participants are learning from both the SOBIS EDGE curriculum and current professional standards.
The educational program is designed to include the project-management education necessary to support CAPM eligibility once the course hours and documentation have been formally confirmed against PMI requirements.

Applied Project Experience
Education is complemented by opportunities to develop practical experience through appropriately scoped professional projects.
These projects may include program launches, workshops, retreats, business systems, educational programs, website or platform projects, instructor onboarding, wellness initiatives, and other defined projects within the yoga and wellness industries.
Projects are selected with an emphasis on manageable scope and appropriate professional boundaries. SOBIS EDGE does not assume responsibility for legal, clinical, financial, regulatory, employment, construction, or other specialized professional decisions.
The client or sponsoring organization retains responsibility for governance, approvals, compliance, and final business decisions. Project professionals are responsible for the project-management activities assigned within their defined scope, while SOBIS EDGE may provide education, mentorship, templates, administrative support, and professional-development resources.
Where appropriate, project experience may also help participants build documented professional experience toward future PMP eligibility. Eligibility remains subject to PMI's requirements and review.

Capstone and Professional Portfolio
Participants may complete a capstone project demonstrating the application of project-management principles in a professional setting.
The capstone may include project planning documents, schedules, stakeholder considerations, risk and issue documentation, communications, status reporting, project adjustments, closeout materials, lessons learned, and other appropriate project artifacts.
Participants may then develop a published case study or portfolio presentation documenting their role, process, decisions, deliverables, and project outcomes.
The purpose is to provide evidence of applied ability that can accompany future professional applications.
Completion of the SOBIS EDGE program does not constitute certification by PMI and does not guarantee employment or contract work through SOBIS EDGE.

PMI Certification
Participants seeking consideration for future project opportunities through the SOBIS EDGE PMO will be expected to obtain an appropriate PMI credential.
For an emerging project professional, this may begin with CAPM® certification and progress toward PMP® certification as qualifying professional experience is accumulated.
Professionals who already meet PMP eligibility requirements may proceed directly toward PMP certification.
After earning the appropriate credential and completing the required SOBIS EDGE portfolio work, individuals may return to apply for consideration within the SOBIS EDGE PMO professional network.
Application does not guarantee placement, employment, or contract work. Candidates are considered according to project needs, qualifications, demonstrated ability, professional fit, and the requirements of individual clients.

Project Support for Yoga and Wellness Businesses
SOBIS EDGE also supports yoga teachers, wellness professionals, schools, studios, retreat leaders, and other organizations that need structured assistance with defined projects.
Depending upon the project, support may include project planning, coordination, documentation, scheduling, stakeholder communication, implementation support, project tracking, and closeout.
This allows businesses to access developing or experienced project professionals according to the complexity and requirements of the work.
SOBIS EDGE is being developed as a supportive PMO rather than a governance or directive PMO. Its role is to provide project-management resources, professional development, mentorship, coordination, and project support while allowing clients to retain authority over their organizations and business decisions.

Modern Project Management
The SOBIS EDGE curriculum and PMO model incorporate contemporary project-management practices, including responsible use of artificial intelligence and emerging business technologies.
AI may assist with research, organization, documentation, planning, analysis, communication, presentations, project records, and administrative workflows. Project professionals remain responsible for reviewing their work, exercising professional judgment, understanding the information they present, and operating within the scope of their assignments.
This approach allows participants to develop traditional project-management competencies while also becoming comfortable with the technologies increasingly used in contemporary professional environments. As much as we would like to, we cannot guarantee employment. What we can do is promise to help you prepare your application and sit for the PMI exam. Not sure?
