Structured Flexibility · Clear Expectations · More Support · Less Overwhelm

Thank you for choosing Edge Yoga School for your training and continuing education journey. It is truly an honor to support your growth as a teacher and practitioner, and I am grateful to walk alongside you in this work.
I am excited to share an expanded support experience designed to strengthen your learning, connection, and confidence throughout your time at Edge Yoga School. Our programs are built to balance structure with real-life flexibility, ensuring that your training remains steady, sustainable, and deeply integrated into both your practice and teaching path.
As part of this experience, you can expect a learning environment that helps you feel grounded in your training, make steady and confident progress, stay connected through consistent mentorship and community touchpoints, receive ongoing guidance and feedback, and move forward within a simple, predictable weekly rhythm that supports long-term success.

1. Weekly Training Tracks
Choose one weekly training day that fits your life:
Track A: Tuesday Labs (2–4pm CST)
Track B: Friday Labs (2–4pm CST)
Track C: Sunday Labs (2–4pm CST)
Track D: Friday Webinar Labs (6–7pm CST)
You stay in your chosen track for 8 weeks at a time. This brings grounding, simplicity, and predictability into your training experience.
To request a track change, simply submit a written petition in Slack. For those already in multiple tracks — and that structure is working beautifully for you — please continue on.
This update applies moving forward and does not alter existing arrangements for current students. Your original agreement is honored without change, if you so choose.

2. One Weekly Small-Group Interactive Webinar
Fridays 7–8pm CST
This is our shared weekly touchpoint where we:
connect as a community
ask questions
practice teaching in breakout rooms
stay aligned with the syllabus
learn one focused teaching concept each week
This becomes your “home base” of support.
✨ If you can’t attend live (life happens!)
Whether due to work, family needs, illness, travel, or tech issues, please don’t worry, you won’t fall behind.
Michelle will post with key takeaways in the announcements channel in Slack, so you never miss the material.
This respects real-life circumstances while maintaining a steady weekly rhythm for the group.

3. One Weekly On-Demand Assignment
Complete one of the following each week:
Teachable lesson
Workbook page
Sequencing exercise
Anatomy lesson
Assigned reading
Submit your reflection via PDF or screenshot in Slack.

4. One Yoga Class + Reflection Weekly
Choose any yoga class you enjoy and complete a brief reflection:
What did I notice?
What did I learn?
What will I borrow or change as a teacher?
This is where your personal teaching wisdom grows.

5. Holiday Labs + Workshops = Enrichment
Seasonal workshops, SW Naperville pop-ups, Salt Cave sessions, art meditations, and bonus events are now clearly framed as optional enrichment.
This keeps your core weekly responsibilities simple and removes holiday confusion.

6. Clear Communication Lanes
To support clarity and reduce overwhelm:
Slack DM → arrival & quick questions
Slack Channels → announcements, lessons, schedule
Weekly “What’s On Deck” → posted every week in Slack
Office Hours → 15 minutes after every lab/webinar (in-person or online)
Written Confirmation Requirement → any verbal request must be restated in Slack DM for clarity
This ensures a clean timeline and avoids miscommunication.

7. The Edge Agreements
Edge is both flexible and structured.
Your weekly track anchors your progress.
Each week: 1 lab + 1 webinar + 1 assignment + 1 yoga class.
Holiday programming is optional enrichment.
Slack is our communication home.
DM upon arrival; doors stay locked for safety.
All petitions submitted in writing.
No unsupervised, independent practice labs.
Office hours available; all details must be restated in Slack.
You have 18 months to complete your training.

Why This Matters
This updated onboarding design ensures:
fewer decisions
more grounding
stronger boundaries
better progress tracking
clearer expectations
reduced overwhelm
higher success rates
a more supportive community container
It protects your progress and the collective wellbeing of the group.

Closing
I’m truly excited about this next evolution of Edge Yoga School. This model supports who you are today and who you’re becoming as a teacher.
If you have questions, I’m here during office hours, in Slack, and throughout your full 18-month journey. If you are interested in enrolling, send us a CHAT here on our website.
