Let's pick your training up from where you already are in mentorship.

Learn from someone who has been teaching Pilates and yoga for nearly two decades. Did you know Michelle Rae Sobi was trained in Classical Pilates even before yoga?

This training is hands-on and includes online components, guided reading assignments, and close mentorship with Michelle Rae Sobi.

We will move through Mat Pilates to Apparatus to Reformer. If you have a reformer at home, and would like interactive webinar access, connect with Michelle for your scheduling needs.

What sets this apart?

This training is open to local Yoga Teachers, Studio Owners, and Pilates Enthusiasts. This is not a franchised training that tethers you to a learning experience solely with one brand. Michelle celebrates learning from an array of teachers, and has a stack of certificates to prove it.

Is everyone welcome?

Yes, but not everyone will start at the same place. We will begin with an assessment of what you already know (certified or not) and continue your training from there. Someone brand new to Pilates may be learning alongside someone with years of teaching, but have different roles in the program.

Is there homework?

Not in the sense of busy work, but rather in guided readings hand selected by Michelle for where you are in your journey...and where you want to go.

How long does training take?

If you want to dip your toe in and see what this is all about, sign up for the Mat I six-week series. Those who want to go deeper may do so for a span up to a year. Your personal process is gauged by your confidence in the practice rather than hours.

What certificate will I earn?

Edge offers the following certificates:

- Mat I

- Mat II

- Mat III

- Apparatus

- Reformer

- Master Instructor

Who is the certifying body?

CLARAS PILATES by Michelle Rae Sobi is the certifying body. While Michelle appreciates the benefits of an association, this training is not governed. This allows the personal mentorship in the program to progress with each student.

I have more questions, who do I ask?

Explore the art of teaching with Edge Yoga School through small-group learning and mentorship. We offer space to deepen your practice, develop your teaching voice, and gain confidence guiding others.

Led by Michelle Rae Sobi, sessions combine discussion, experiential learning, and practice teaching. We explore how to plan meaningful classes, communicate clearly, adapt activities to different needs, and create a welcoming environment for learning. Topics vary with the training pathway and may include movement, breath awareness, meditation, creative expression, anatomy, teaching methodology, and professional ethics.

You’ll have opportunities to ask questions, practice with peers, and receive thoughtful feedback as you connect what you are learning to your own interests and goals. Whether you are preparing to teach for the first time or expanding an established practice, our approach encourages curiosity, connection, and steady growth.

Please contact Edge Yoga School before attending to find the training pathway that fits your goals and confirm enrollment. Certificate requirements and eligible training hours vary by program and will be set upon payment.

Due to limited space of mentorship, this is a first-come, first-serve training experience. No refunds may be granted but you may pay as you go through each module.
