Yin vs Restorative?

Some have asked what the difference is between Yin and Restorative Yoga. While they may look similar, here are a few key differences: Yin aims to lengthen the connective tissue and therefore does not tend to use props.

Restorative aims to rest the muscles with the use of props.

Either way, you are free to use the props that you need to move your yogic edge without experiencing pain.

A bit of discomfort can be good for a practitioner, as sometimes like isn't always comfortable. Yoga helps prepare you for the difficult conversations in life.

Join me tonight for Restorative Yoga or next week for a Slow Flow practice, if that is your jam.
