A new way to approach yoga teacher training

Introducing the Tuesday Workshop | Yoga Alliance Pathway

I have heard from many students who have wanted to begin Yoga Teacher Training but needed a financially approachable place to start. The new Tuesday Workshop | Yoga Alliance Pathway was created for that student.

We gather Tuesdays from 5–7 PM at Edge Yoga School for conversation, study, practice, reflection, and mentorship. Each workshop is $40, and students register one week at a time. There is no obligation to purchase the following workshop.

Each Tuesday is designed to be a meaningful educational experience on its own. Students may attend an individual workshop for personal enrichment, use eligible workshops for Yoga Alliance continuing education, or allow their completed hours to become part of a larger journey.

Registered yoga teachers attending for continuing education should let me know when they register. Eligible workshops may provide continuing education hours toward the 30 hours required during each three-year Yoga Alliance cycle.

For students who decide to continue, the workshops can become part of Edge Yoga School’s complete 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program.

The complete 200-hour pathway includes:

• 50 hours of live training labs

• 40 hours of yoga anatomy videos

• 40 hours of anytime yoga classes

• 40-hour personalized capstone project

• 10-hour book report

• 20 hours teaching 20 yoga classes at Edge Yoga School

The live curriculum begins with orientation and progresses through the Eight Limbs of Yoga, class creation, lectures, labs, and practicum. As students move through the program, the emphasis gradually shifts from attending classes to gaining practical teaching experience.

Students teach 20 classes at Edge Yoga School for their peers within Yoga Teacher Training. This creates a supportive place to practice developing classes, guiding others, receiving feedback, and discovering an authentic teaching voice.

The 40-hour capstone is completed within the 200-hour program. It is a highly personalized project developed directly with me around the student’s specialty interests, existing experience, and post-graduation direction. The details take shape through mentorship as each student’s interests and intended path become clearer.

Mentorship is best delivered through small groups and personalized sessions. Students connect with me during a weekly mentorship check-in on Slack for direction, accountability, and guidance along their individual pathway.

The Tuesday Workshop Pathway is a fixed-schedule option. Students attend Tuesdays from 5–7 PM and do not move between weekly live training labs. If a purchased workshop is missed, the hours may be completed through an approved webinar or on-demand lesson. Workshop purchases are nonrefundable.

Students who want greater scheduling flexibility may upgrade to full enrollment. Eligible Workshop Pathway payments may be applied toward the upgrade. Flexible scheduling begins after the upgrade is completed and is subject to availability.

Students may also complete the program sooner by attending eligible field trips offered à la carte. I will help each student understand which opportunities support their progress toward graduation.

The Tuesday Workshop | Yoga Alliance Pathway will be offered through November 15, 2027. Students seeking the Edge Yoga School 200-hour certificate must complete all required coursework, teaching experience, mentorship, and program hours. Students who do not finish by the end date may connect with me about completing the program through on-demand lessons.

Individual workshops do not constitute graduation or Yoga Alliance eligibility. The Edge Yoga School 200-hour certificate is awarded only after all program requirements have been successfully completed.
